My child does not do the signs correctly. Is that OK?
Babies' motor skills are not well enough developed to enable them to perform signs with the same precision that you do. And that's ok. Always remember that the goal is communication, not perfection. As long as you understand what your baby is trying to "say" when he makes a crude form of a sign, that's good enough. Pointedly correcting your baby will only dampen his enthusiasm for the whole enterprise. If you model the signs correctly, your child's signs will begin to look more like yours as her physical coordination increases.
