Hi, my name is Ethel and I am the proud mum of Mia who is 11 months old. I have a background in Hospitality and used to work in the Hotel industry. Nowadays, I work from the comforts of my home.
I became interested in baby signing when Mia was about 8 months old and began surfing the internet looking for video clips and articles on baby signs. Along the way I discovered the Baby Signs® Program and was delighted by its' extensive research which resonated with my own beliefs and values. Within no time at all, I had all the information I required and began learning and modeling signs to my daughter. I found that signing with her is really fun, and had enhanced our relationship and communication.
Today, as an Independent Certified Instructor, I wish to share the Baby Signs® Program with other families because it is something that I truly believe will benefit their lives in the same exciting ways it has benefited mine.

I am Elaine, mother to 3 young children, Shuen age 6, Hanh age 4 and Lynn who is 10 months old. I used to work as a System Administrator before the birth of my second child. Ever since the birth of my firstborn, I have developed an interest in Early Childhood Education and believe very much in learning through play and a stress free childhood for my children, this has led me to sign up for the Diploma in the Montessori Method of Education by Modern Montessori International (London) in year 2006.
Both the Montessori Pedagogy and AP stresses on respecting your child as an individual and emphasizes a lot about communcation. The Baby Signs® Program is an excellent tool of communication to bridge the gap before speech is fully developed.
On top of my training in the Montessori pedagogy and an AP mother, I have now completed the Baby Signs® Program training to become an Independent Certified Instructor. I am excited to share this program with you and your babies as this is something I believe in.

Having already had a background in Sign Language, I decided to teach Monica on my own but there was no structure to my teaching methods. Then I came across BSM and its products, and it gave me everything I needed.
Monica is now 16 months old and she can sign and say about 90 words. This ability to communicate with my baby daughter has brought us many, many joyous moments. It is my hope to be able to get others to experience this as well and with that in mind I have decided to become an Independent Certified Instructor for the Baby Signs® Programs.

My name is Sarah and I’m a proud mother to a 1+ year old son. I began signing with Bilal when he was seven months old and experienced the joys of having my son sign back at 10 months of age. He is now picking up more and more signs and is able to express himself clearly when he is not able to use verbal words.
It’s wonderful that I am able to have conversations with my son even before he is able to vocalize clearly. Not only are we able to keep ‘guessing games’ for what he wants short, he is also able to tell me ‘stories’ or his thoughts which creates lovely bonding opportunities. Signing is really great and I am excited to share this with other parents and their babies (also anyone who is involved with little darlings like grandparents as well as childcare providers)
Having linguistics as my tertiary education background, I am naturally impressed with the benefits of signing with toddlers. I believe anything that nurtures relationship between parents’ and child especially in way of better communication is a wonderful thing to have.

I operate and manage My Montessori School pre-schools (we now have 5 pre-schools) and also The Homework Club where we conduct child development courses and provide teachers’ training, support, materials and consultancy.
My passion for early childhood education drove me to obtain my Early Childhood Teaching Diploma in 1996. Prior to that, I was in legal practice for a number of years. I am presently a Government accredited trainer for the Basic Child Care Course (Khursus Asas Asuhan Kanak-kanak). I am also pursuing my Diploma in Learning Disability Management.
Sign language has always fascinated me and when my son John came along, it was a good reason to learn more about baby sign language. The Baby Signs® training program, helps me and my husband to understand John’s needs. He is now a confident toddler full of gestures and words!
We use baby signs daily to effectively communicate with the under 2s at our Baby Development Centre in Bangsar.
After the extensive training offered by the Baby Signs® program, I am now an Independent Certified Instructor and look forward to sharing my first hand experiences with you soon.

Greetings, my name is Aisha Z. Abdullah and I am a mother of 5 children, the youngest being 6 and half months.
As a Montessori educator/trainer/consultant, I am fascinated by what makes things work and why people behave the way they do. Montessori philosophy is widely acknowledged in the psychological field and has made parenting my children more meaningful and delightful. Words cannot sufficiently describe the moments of discovery for both parent and child as we let our days be filled with activities which my children are naturally propelled towards and enjoy.
The Baby Signs® Programme is a well-researched, tried and tested programme which has benefited millions of families througout the world. As a family, my children and I are all very excited with the Baby Signs® Programme as we can now “talk” to our youngest member of the family and include her in our activities. Although still too early to tell at 6 months, my baby certainly communicates trustingly with her loving gaze as we sign and talk to her. What can be more wonderful than communicating before even talking!
Usually babies respond to signing and talking as soon as they are able to manipulate their fine motor skills and articulate their speech to tell us something. Signing and talking babies have turned out to progress through earlier stages of development (eg. being toilet trained by 18 months). They grow up calmer and contented as they are able to communicate their needs and desires through their signs and attempted speech. As a result, parenting and family experiences are extra-rewarding minus the tantrums and frustration due to lack of communication.

Hi and Selamat Datang,
I am Norizan, an Independent Certified Instructor based in Shah Alam, Selangor. I am a linguist by training and had received my post graduate education at Syracuse University and University of Hawai'i at Manoa. My interest is in child language development and currently I am running Urbane Ethos Language Enrichment and Stimulation Center for special needs children in Shah Alam. I give child language development and speech stimulation training to the parents and hospitals so that parents can be alert of the warning signs of speech delays in their child.
I am currently implementing some of the Baby Signs Program within my child language stimulation program with selected special needs and this has been going on for about 2-3 months with good results.
I am also starting a playgroup at Urbane Ethos that will integrate typically developed toddlers with toddlers with speech delay.
If you are interested, please do call us up to join. I am also willing to travel to other parts of Peninsular with special arrangements to do Baby Signs Program, if there is enough participants interested. We can do it at your homes or at your centers.

Let me introduce myself, I am Independent Certified Instructor, Rose…….
As a Family Coach, psychology/communications lecturer and mother of four, I have always been interested in the relationship between parent and child. What could be more beautiful than your baby’s first smile and first attempt to communicate with you?!
The Baby Signs® Program is a wonderful discovery for me as it facilitates the strengthening of bonds between me and my young clients as well as between them and their parents through signing of course, while engaging in fun multisensory activities such singing / storytelling / movement and more.
I was amazed that these little individuals had a lot more to say about things than we thought and probably thought about a lot more things than we assumed! Anyways, it’s one thing to read about these findings and a something wonderful to see it happen with your own eyes. Just a while back, a little girl (about 20 months old) whom I was working with and who had so far refused to speak in English despite her parents’ attempts to enroll her in a variety of language classes decided that signing was a great way (more fun, you see) to communicate and expand her English vocabulary. We were all so very excited!
And I haven’t even mentioned the beautiful picture books and tools that you can use to help make it an exciting experience for everyone involved……….

My name is Cherylanne Chok and I'm from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. I'm very excited to bring this program to the Kota Kinabalu community and surrounding areas. I'm thrilled at the prospect of meeting you and your families to introduce you to the wonderful world of communicating with you little ones through sign language.
When my son was born in May 2010, husband and I both were very excited! My outlook on life and career completely changed. I am amazed at all the milestones and growth that we, as family, are experiencing. I came across to Baby Sign(R) website, I know I had found my new calling!!!! This is what led me to begin my search for my 'new' dream job. I fell in love with the Baby Signs(R) Program; not only for all the research and benefits it has offer so many families out there, but also for my personal reason. I want to teach my little boy to sign to help him better communicate with his Daddy and I and also the rest of the families.
I start to sign with my son when he was about 11 months old and he responded to me when he was 1year13days! and his 1st sign was asking for MILK/NURSING! Then few signs came along like DADDY, FISH, BATH, SCARE...i realise that after a very short time how much our communication, relation and life has changed for better. This is what spurred my interest to become involved with the Baby Signs(R) Program.
After the extensive training offered by the Baby Signs(R) Program, I'm now an Independent certified Instructor with Baby Signs(R). I'm excited introduce the joy of signing to other families.I know that your family will gain as much joy and benefit out of signing with your baby as I have with mine.
