I am a Singaporean and came to Kuala Lumpur in 2006 to join my husband who is here for work. I have a marketing diploma from CIM(UK) and an advanced diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Oklahoma.
I learned about baby signing through a good friend shortly after giving birth to my daughter Rachel in 2005. After having witnessed the many benefits it brought to my friend and her baby, I was very encouraged to do the same with Rachel. I began to sign with Rachel when she was about 1 year old and as a result Rachel and I experienced a closer parent/infant bond. Such was the experience that i was determined to share this wonderful feeling with others.
After the extensive training offered by the Baby Signs® programme, I am now an Independent Certified Instructor and look forward to sharing my first hand experiences with you soon.

I am Elaine, mother to 3 young children, Shuen age 6, Hanh age 4 and Lynn who is 10 months old. I used to work as a System Administrator before the birth of my second child. Ever since the birth of my firstborn, I have developed an interest in Early Childhood Education and believe very much in learning through play and a stress free childhood for my children, this has led me to sign up for the Diploma in the Montessori Method of Education by Modern Montessori International (London) in year 2006.
I am also a strong advocate of attachment parenting. One of the tools of AP is to belief in the language value of your baby’s cry, which means to be sensitive to baby’s cues and be responsive to them. I believe that teaching babies to sign is the bridge of communication which will lead to more responsive parenting.
Both the Montessori Pedagogy and AP stresses on respecting your child as an individual and emphasizes a lot about communcation. The Baby Signs® Program is an excellent tool of communication to bridge the gap before speech is fully developed.
On top of my training in the Montessori pedagogy and an AP mother, I have now completed the Baby Signs® Program training to become an Independent Certified Instructor. I am excited to share this program with you and your babies as this is something I believe in.

Working with children and teenagers for the past 5 years has truly been an experience. It has encouraged me to find out how they become who they are, by going back to their roots, i.e. how they were raised.
When my daughter, Monica was born I was curious and wanted to know how to guide her in all aspects of her development. This encouraged me to sign up for a Certificate in Childhood Development in April 2008. Through my studies, as I was surfing the internet, I found out that in
Having already had a background in Sign Language, I decided to teach Monica on my own but there was no structure to my teaching methods. Then I came across BSM and its products, and it gave me everything I needed.
Monica is now 16 months old and she can sign and say about 90 words. This ability to communicate with my baby daughter has brought us many, many joyous moments. It is my hope to be able to get others to experience this as well and with that in mind I have decided to become an Independent Certified Instructor for the Baby Signs® Programs.
