On the Parent Workshop....The workshop was very interesting and the message delivered was clear enough for me to understand. I think the most encouraging moment was where Jamie demonstrated the signs and I followed. This assured me that I was doing it correctly. I felt more confident teaching Andrea.
Signing experience....Andrea is able to sign 'fan', 'book', clap her hands, 'moon', 'milk' etc. When she signs, she will look at me and I feel very happy that she actually communicates with me and I understand her. Andrea smiles back when I say what she is signing and I know this makes her very happy too.
A note to other parents.....I would recommend the Baby Signs® Program to other parents, because you will experience your baby communicating with you before he/she can actually talk! Andrea only signed when she was 9 months old and I learnt that other babies could sign earlier. So you have to be very patient and consistent in teaching your child.
